Why should I donate to the Chesapeake Bay Trust? The Chesapeake Bay Trust, established in 1985, is the only non-profit grant-making organization in Maryland dedicated to restoring the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers. What does that mean? That means thanks to donors like you, we are able to give money to organizations and non-profits who are doing the hard, "boots-on-the-ground" work to help restore the Chesapeake Bay, educate schoolchildren on the importance of restoration and engage the community in clean-up projects and other activities. Where does the money go?
Is my donation tax deductible? Will I be contacted by the Trust in the future? The Chesapeake Bay Trust will only contact you if you would like us to. We have two great e-newsletters, Bay Stewards and Grantee, that are full of information about events, news and information about the Chesapeake Bay. If you don't want to be contacted by us, you don't have to be. You can even donate anonymously.
