Top Reasons People Who Love the Bay Should Root for the Giants in this weekend's Superbowl
In case you have been living under a rock, one of the greatest events in American sports is happening on Sunday, February 6, and sadly, it won't be including the local Chesapeake Bay team, the Ravens. If losing to the Patriots by a botched field goal in the last seconds of the 4th quarter (a la Ray Finkle from Ace Ventura: Pet Detective) isn't enough of a reason to root for the Giants, we have come up with a few more 'bay-friendly' reasons on why you should.

Helping Students Get Outside and Have Fun
Getting students outside to experience their local environment and the Chesapeake Bay is one of the main goals of the conservation program at the National Aquarium. As the new Chesapeake Conservation Corps volunteer, I was able to participate in this program first hand and help create experiences for the students that they will remember for a lifetime.

A Personal Experience with Bread and Cheese Creek
My most cherished memories from childhood all include nature and connecting with the world around me, including riding horses at a farm, building igloos with my uncle in a blizzard, climbing trees to hide during night tag, and catching my first fish. I lived for playing outside when I was young. Not that I'm old. I'm only twenty-five. My childhood days weren't that long ago; but, times have changed. The world seems to move so much faster now. There is always somewhere to go, something to do. There doesn't seem to be any time for simply being. This is the reason why Bread & Cheese Creek is so important to my family.
