In addition to the Chesapeake Bay Trust's portfolio of grant programs, the organization also manages numerous partnerships and special initiatives each year.
Chesapeake Conservation Corps
The Chesapeake Conservation Corps, now in its third year, is a program that provides career and leadership training for young people interested in environmental careers and Chesapeake Bay protection. This initiative, established by the Maryland Legislature, matches young people, ages 18-25, with organizations throughout the state for paid, one-year terms of service.
Partnerships
Each year the Chesapeake Bay Trust partners with various businesses, nonprofits and government agencies to raise needed funds and awareness to help the Chesapeake Bay.
Awards Program
Each January during its Legislative Reception, the Chesapeake Bay Trust announces the winners of its Annual Awards Program. Launched in 1998, the Trust’s Annual Awards Program recognizes six awardees each year for a variety of environmental leadership roles and achievements.
