Funding provided by the Chesapeake Bay Trust sparks on-the-ground change in communities throughout Maryland and works to cultivate a new generation of Bay stewards. The hundreds of projects we fund each year allow creative individuals, schools, and communities to spark real change at the local level. We often reach beyond our grant programs to achieve our goal of restoring the health of the Bay. Through partnerships, award programs, and special initiatives, the Trust is a leader in the Bay community.

Awards Program

Each year the Trust recognizes outstanding achievements by educators, students, and individuals who work creatively to build environmental stewards in communities throughout Maryland.  In each award category, a winning applicant receives a monetary award or scholarship for his or her environmental achievements and is acknowledged during a Trust and/or partner event.  For more information and how to apply, visit the Trust’s Awards page.

Partnerships

The Chesapeake Bay Trust has become a leader in the effort to develop a network of partners with an interest in restoring the health of the Chesapeake Bay. By leveraging resources and expertise, the Trust and our partners are working together to engage as many citizens as possible. Whether through on-the-ground restoration activities or environmental education programs, together we are making a difference!
