25th Anniversary Celebration

This year the Chesapeake Bay Trust celebrates its 25th Anniversary! For 25 years, the Trust has worked to promote environmental stewardship with partners from across the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Since 1985, the Trust has awarded more than $30 million dollars in grants for stewardship projects aimed restoring the Chesapeake Bay.

We kicked off our 25th Anniversary celebration at our annual Treasure the Chesapeake event – on a beautiful May evening at the Annapolis Maritime Museum. We were pleased to recognize Verna Harrison, Executive Director of the Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment, Mayor Adam Ortiz of the Town of Edmonston, and Mayor Margo Bailey of the Town of Chestertown for their dedicated work on the Chesapeake Bay and clean water issues. We were also honored to receive recognition from the Maryland General Assembly for our quarter century of work in the resolution presented to us by House Speaker Mike Busch.
